Transfer Orientation: In-Person Session
Description
BCU's transfer orientation is an exciting and important, one-day event that is required for all incoming new students at Briar Cliff.
During your orientation session as a Future Charger, you will
- get your official University ID
- register for fall classes
- review your financial aid award
- learn about campus resources
- get to know other students
- and have fun
All incoming students are encouraged to sign up for an in-person orientation session that works best for them. For out-of-state Future Chargers who are traveling long distances (residing 200+ miles away), we created the virtual session option to help accommodate all travel plans.

Prior to orientation, all Future Chargers are enrolled in an online orientation course. Among other things, this course will allow you to begin to fill out paperwork in advance, get an overview from several departments, and learn about Briar Cliff. Students will be provided with an email to create login information a few weeks before their scheduled orientation dates.
Yes! As a parent, guardian, or other family member, you are welcome to attend orientation. Be sure to add your names on your Future Charger's RSVP.
